June 28, 2004—Giant logistics and shipping providers like DHL, FedEx, and UPS are all getting involved in RFID. DHL this month opened up its RFID tagging service to all European customers. Using the RFID services of such companies may be the means by which smaller companies, who can't afford large-scale RFID deployments, have access to the technology.
