Tesco CEO voices RFID and privacy opinion

April 7, 2004—Elsevier Food International has interviewed Tesco's CEO (and co-chair of the forthcoming ECR Conference), Sir Terry Leahy, reporting his opinions about the RFID market and adoption. According to Leahy, global standards are going to happen, with the combination EAN-UCC being an important step. What's more, he said that "RFID tracks products, not people.
