January 9, 2004—The head of a US consumer group, which is campaigning against the new goods tracking system called Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags, has alleged that the Grocery Manufacturers of America (GMA) is resorting to personal attacks to deflect criticism of RFID plans by its members.
