RFID Journal to Hold RFID in Aerospace and Defense Event in Long Beach, Calif.

By RFID Journal

Fast-track RFID training will be offered on Oct. 19, one day prior to the event.

RFID Journal announced today that it will hold its RFID in Aerospace and Defense conference and exhibition on Oct. 20, 2016, at the Long Beach Convention Center, located in California. RFID Journal will also feature fast-track RFID training, provided by RFID4U, on Oct. 19.

RFID in Aerospace and Defense is aimed at helping companies in these sectors to comply with customer requirements, and to use RFID technology internally to achieve significant benefits. Case studies presented by aerospace and defense firms already using RFID will help attendees to determine the best technology for their needs, and enable them to learn best practices from early adopters. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with leading RFID companies exhibiting at the event, so that they can find the right technology to move forward with deployment.

Prior to the conference, RFID4U will present an advanced, one-day fast-track training course that will combine lectures and hands-on lab exercises. This will provide a functional understanding of the use of RFID readers, tags, printers and general-purpose input-output devices. Using the latest equipment and relevant deployment scenarios, this course will provide a solid foundation to design, install, configure, monitor and troubleshoot an RFID implementation.

The course will prepare participants for the RFID Professional Institute Certified Associate exam. An exam voucher to take the test online will be included with the training.

"This is a great opportunity for companies to get RFID teams trained and certified, and to hear case studies from those leading the way to a more efficient, safe and profitable future," says Mark Roberti, RFID Journal's founder and editor. "Attendees will also have a chance to meet the technology providers offering high-memory tags and other solutions designed specifically for the aerospace and defense sectors."
