LIVE! 2016 to Feature RFID Professional Institute Certification Exam, Six RFID Courses

By RFID Journal

RFID Journal's 14th annual conference and exhibition will offer attendees the chance to become Institute-certified, and provide training in RFID deployment and applications development.

RFID Journal announced today that it has partnered with RFID4U, a leading radio frequency identification training firm, to provide four educational courses for attendees at this year's RFID Journal LIVE! conference and exhibition, to be held on May 3-5, at the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando, Fla.

Two of the courses will be offered on May 3: One is aimed at helping individuals pass the RFID Professional Institute's certification test, while the other is designed to teach attendees how to build ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) RFID applications. The RFID certification exam, provided by the RFID Professional Institute, will be held twice on May 4 and again on May 5. Institute credentials indicate to potential employers that the holder has the requisite knowledge and skills to perform certain tasks, depending on the level of certification. RFID4U's RFID Professional Institute course will provide attendees with training designed to help them pass the certification exam.

The goal of the Fast-Track RFID Applications Developers Training course is to teach software application developers how to build the next generation of rich, interactive applications for passive UHF RFID readers and peripherals. Exercises provided throughout the instructor-led course are designed to offer students an opportunity to gain practical experience with the skills and concepts covered during the lectures. Participants will receive hands-on experience with the latest RFID devices and cutting-edge RFID labs.

"These training courses offer a great opportunity for attendees to enhance their RFID skills," says Mark Roberti, RFID Journal's founder and editor. "Attendees can take the certification training course and then take the RFID Professional Institute exam the next day, and leave with the industry's only certification credentials."

On May 5, LIVE! 2016 will offer four post-conference seminars, including two master classes that will be presented by RFID4U. One class will cover the process of developing Near Field Communication (NFC) applications, while the other will focus on benchmarking passive UHF RFID tags and readers. Both master classes are designed to give attendees the opportunity to upgrade skills and enhance career prospects in the fast-growing RFID industry.

In addition, LIVE! 2016 will feature four industry-specific and four level-of-expertise conference tracks, as well as six in-depth preconference seminars and workshops, the RFID Journal Awards, and exhibits and demonstrations conducted by the industry's leading technology firms.
