RFID Journal Launches Conference
RFID Journal will hold a high-end executive conference in Chicago, from June 11 to June 13.
Dec 01, 2002—Dec. 2, 2002 - RFID Journal, the world's premier daily that covers the business and technology of radio-frequency identification devices, announced that it will hold a high-end executive conference in Chicago, from June 11 to June 13, 2003.
RFID Journal Live! will give leaders from both Global 1000 companies and midsize enterprises a deeper understanding of the latest advances in RFID and the business benefits and challenges the technology presents.
"The enormous success of RFID Journal shows that top executives are keenly interested in understanding the applications and benefits of radio frequency identification," says RFID Journal Editor and Founder Mark Roberti. "The conference will provide the same kind of in-depth, independent information that is the hallmark of RFID Journal. The executive conference will also provide in-depth tutorials about the technology and the chance to network with other RFID pioneers."
The two-day event will begin with a half-day, hands-on executive education course. The aim is to provide insights into where RFID delivers the greatest return on investment and help executives begin to develop a long-term RFID strategy and a vision for executing that strategy.
The heart of the program will also focus squarely on the benefits companies can expect to get from using RFID and how to get them. Speakers will be drawn from among early adopters who will share their learnings and best practices. The event is designed to be interactive, so attendees will be able to see and touch the technology and engage speakers, RFID Journal editors, and their counterparts in other industries.
The event is being produced by Phocas Partners, a Bay Area production company that creates content-rich programming for organizations that engage and educate readers, customers, prospects, employees and business partners. Because it relies on journalistic principles, Phocas Partners has become a sought after company in producing high-end, educational events. In the past year, its clients have included The Economist, Fast Company, Inc., and Wired magazines.
