Jul 31, 2014—
RFID Journal announced today that the exhibit hall for the RFID in Energy, Mining & Construction conference and exhibition, co-located with the 4th LCI Australian Lean Construction Conference, is sold out. RFID in Energy, Mining & Construction will be held on Aug. 12-13, 2014, in Perth, Australia.
"This event represents a unique opportunity for companies in the energy, mining and construction sectors to view solutions designed to address the business issues they face," says Mark Roberti, RFID Journal's editor and founder. "Whether companies are looking to track assets, manage inventory or safeguard personnel, they will be able to speak with exhibitors that can provide a cost-effective solution to their problems."
The exhibitors are:
• Woodside Energy (cornerstone sponsor)
Attendees will be able to hear how leading oil and gas producers, refineries and distributors, as well as mining companies and utilities, are using radio frequency identification to track tools and equipment, manage inventory, streamline business processes, comply with regulations and much more. End-user case studies will explain the benefits that RFID is delivering to construction, mining, gas and oil firms, and will outline the challenges that must be overcome to achieve such benefits. The use of all types of RFID, including active and passive systems, will be explored, and speakers will reveal how RFID can be combined with GPS and other technologies to create real-time visibility.
Following the event, the Global RFID Committee for Oil & Gas, established in May 2013, will host the RFID in Oil & Gas Standards Workshop on Aug. 14. The workshop's purpose is to establish committees and a framework for achieving its goals.
