At RFID Journal's seventh annual conference and exhibition, held in Orlando, Fla., 2,400 industry professionals learned from organizations using RFID to improve their operations. View the presentations from the event.

June 15, 2009—RFID Journal LIVE! 2009, RFID Journal's seventh annual conference and exhibition, drew more than 2,400 attendees. This year's event was held on Apr. 27-29, at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin in Orlando, Fla.

At LIVE! 2009, speakers from numerous leading end-user companies discussed new applications for RFID, exploring how to overcome implementation challenges and how to leverage the technology to deliver business benefits. This year's conference featured more than 50 end-user case studies, as well as live product and technology demonstrations from more than 170 companies. The event was held in conjunction with four co-located events: the AIDC 100 Strategic RFID Workshop, IEEE RFID 2009, the Printed RFID Conference and the RFID in Aerospace Workshop.

Speaker presentations are now available from the conference—see the final page for downloading instructions.

Keynotes and General Sessions
Four speakers offered keynote addresses at the event. Thomas Beckmann, VP of group supply chain management at fashion retail chain Charles Vögele Group, outlined how his firm has deployed an end-to-end, item-level supply chain tracking solution. Vögele's suppliers tag clothing items at eight Chinese production facilities, after which the goods are tracked through a warehouse at the port of Shanghai, at several European distribution centers (DCs), at four stores in Slovenia, on the retail floor and at the point of sale. Beckmann told attendees how the system has helped improve on-shelf replenishment, stock-taking, inventory management and the management of the store's back room (see Charles Vögele Group Finds RFID Helps It Stay Competitive and Swiss Retailer Tracks Items From Production to Point of Sale).
