June 30, 2003 - RFID Journal held its inaugural executive conference in Chicago from June 11 to June 13. The event was attended by more than 450 people from companies representing large and midsize retailers, distributors and
RFID was the talk of the town in Chicago
manufacturers. This post-conference report covers the main sessions of the three-day event. The event began with a pre-conference seminar, The ROI of RFID: A Pre-Conference Seminar, during which experts from Accenture covered the major issues confronting companies looking to deploy RFID technology. The Executive conference opened formally on Wednesday, June 11, 2003, with a keynote speech presented in partnership with Retail Systems 2003/VICS Collaborative Commerce.
