The conference was held Oct. 2-4 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Chicago. This followed the success of RFID Journal LIVE! 2007, held in April in Orlando, and the 2007 RFID Journal—AAFA Apparel and Footwear Summit, which took place in New York City this past August.
On Track With RFID
More than 1,000 retailers, distributors, manufacturers and other professionals attended this year's conference, including many end users and potential end users of RFID/EPC technology. Several early adopters presented their findings so others could learn from their experiences using the technologies in their operations. Those attending the presentations learned how to improve promotions execution and shipping accuracy, reduce out-of-stocks and chargebacks, track high-value assets, create electronic proof of delivery, track work-in-process, enhance regulatory compliance, improve warehouse operations, boost supply-chain efficiencies, fight counterfeiting and create e-pedigrees.
