Video: How to Choose Between Fixed and Mobile Readers

When deploying radio frequency identification for a specific application, you want to keep the cost of hardware as low as possible. Some applications require fixed interrogators (readers); with other applications, you have the option of using a few mobile interrogators instead of many stationary readers.

In this video of live demonstration done on the exhibit floor at RFID Journal LIVE! 2007, researchers from the University of Arkansas’ RFID Research Center show the capabilities of different types of mobile readers, to help you choose the right mix of stationary and mobile readers for your implementation.
