RFID Journal LIVE! 2007 Report

More than 2,500 people gathered at RFID Journal LIVE! 2007 in Orlando to hear how early adopters have successfully put RFID to work in their businesses, and to hear leading experts discuss the issues facing companies adopting EPC technologies. View the presentations from the event.

June 18, 2007—RFID Journal's fifth annual executive conference, RFID Journal LIVE! 2007, was held May 30 to April 4 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Fla. This followed the success of RFID Journal LIVE! 2006, held in Chicago in April of last year; RFID Journal LIVE! Europe 2006, which took place last October in Amsterdam; and November's RFID Journal LIVE! Canada 2006, in Toronto.

The conference attracted more than 2,500 professionals from large and midsize retailers, distributors and manufacturers—including a record number of end users and potential end users of radio frequency identification technology. In addition, numerous consulting firms, systems integrators and RFID vendors also attended.

The 86,000-square-foot exhibit hall featured nearly 200 leading RFID technology providers, and attendees were treated to RFID-enabled arcade games developed by RFID Journal with help from Rush Tracking Systems, Motorola, BEA Systems and Ubisense. RFID Journal also partnered with Alien Technology and the University of Arkansas' RFID Research Center to run technology demonstrations in the exhibit hall.

The event featured three expertise-level tracks and five industry-specific tracks, with content geared not only toward those new to RFID, but also to RFID implementers and executives looking to develop an RFID strategy.
