May 22, 2006—RFID Journal's fourth annual executive conference, RFID Journal LIVE! 2006, was held May 1-3 at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas. This followed the success of RFID Journal LIVE! 2005, held in Chicago in April, and of Amsterdam's RFID Journal LIVE! Europe in October.

The conference was attended by more than 2,500 professionals from large and midsize retailers, distributors and manufacturers, consulting firms, systems integrators and RFID vendors. In addition, more than 120 exhibitors displayed their technologies and services.

The event featured eight educational tracks, covering five vertical industries, with content geared toward those new to RFID, as well as to RFID implementers and executives looking to develop an RFID strategy.

Putting RFID to Work
The first day of RFID Journal LIVE! 2006 featured four pre-conference seminars (RFID Journal University, RFID Channel Seminar, Investing in RFID and RFID Academic Convocation), each providing in-depth RFID information on specific aspects of radio frequency identification technology.
