Is It Possible to Recycle Used RFID Tags From Products?

And is there a commercial market for those that have already been used?

I believe that it would be possible to remove RFID transponders from product labels and hangtags, and to them use them again, but I am unaware of any company actually doing so. I don't think there is much of a market at the moment, to be honest.

A dry inlay—a transponder on a substrate—costs approximately 7 cents apiece in large quantities, so it's not clear whether using recycled tags would save you much money. That could change, however, as tag demand begins to rise.
