What Type of RFID Is Used for the Antenna in a Contactless Smart Card?

Please explain which technology is used.

Contactless smart cards typically employ high-frequency (HF) RFID transponders based on the ISO 14443 air-interface standard. The antenna is simply a coiled piece of copper that connects with two contacts on the microchip. It is usually impossible to use printed antennas, as the transponder requires enough metal to create an electromagnetic field with the coil in the reader antenna.
