Sept. 29, 2003 - RFID Journal has announced that it will introduce a print publication in January 2004. The world's leading media company focused on RFID technology and its many business
applications has produced a preview issue, which readers can download for free (click here).

"Our plan has always been to launch a print magazine," says RFID Journal founder and editor Mark Roberti. "There is a growing need for accurate, objective RFID information. We aim to serve that need in print, online and through our executive conferences and educational programs."

The print publication is designed to give CEOs, CIOs and other high-level executives insights into the big picture. What's driving adoption? What are the key issues that will lead to a successful implementation? How will the privacy issue be resolved? How will RFID change the business processes and culture at your company?

In addition to the in-depth articles, The “Perspective” section will tell the story behind the news. “Out in Front” will look at some of the innovative ways companies are using RFID technology to cut costs, improve customer service and enhance existing products. And each issue will feature opinion articles by experts with real-world experience.

The magazine will be circulated to 5,000 decision makers. All current RFID Journal subscribers and all new subscribers to the Web site will automatically receive the print publication. "The executives making decisions to invest in RFID systems come from IT, supply chain management, operations, engineering and other functional area," says Roberti. "No other media company has been able to offer advertisers a way to reach this diverse group."

Roberti believes that the media company can build on its reputation for delivering high-quality, no-nonsense journalism. RFID Journal on the Web will continue to provide timely news and features, case studies and vendor profiles aimed at helping companies deploy RFID technologies successfully. The print magazine will take a more strategic focus. RFID Journal Live! is an annual executive conference that gives senior level executives a chance to hear from early adopters and RFID experts. And RFID Journal University is a newly launched education program designed to give end users a deeper understanding of implementation issues.

"Our goal, from day one, has been simple: provide the information companies need to make smart decisions about deploying RFID technologies," says Roberti. "We know the subject better than anyone and we want to serve all of our readers' needs—from CEOs making strategic decisions to engineers deploying readers—in print, online at executive conferences and educational seminars."
