ADC Systems AB: Since 1996, this Swedish company has been developing 125kHz and 13.56MHz RFID readers for use in access control, public transportation, industrial environments and mobile identification and registration.

AEG Identifikationssysteme GmbH: Headquartered in Ulm, Germany, AEG ID designs and builds custom RFID systems for industrial and uses.

Avonwood Developments Ltd.: A British company that makes RFID tags and readers for industrial use. It also has some innovative ideas, like putting tags in golf balls.

Balogh RFID: A global manufacturer of RFID systems, Balogh has facilities in the U.S. and Europe. It makes passive tags, readers, transceivers and proximity sensors for applications ranging from harsh industrial environments and food processing to access control and personnel tracking.

Baumer Ident AB: This Swedish company is a member of the Swiss technical company Baumer Electric. It specializes in RFID for industrial manfacturers.

Cedar Ridge: This UK supplier of end-to-end RFID asset management systems focuses on the automotive and manufacturing sectors. An RFID application that the company installed for the Ford Motor Co. in the UK is being implemented across Europe. Cedar Ridge is product independent and works closely with clients to deliver complete systems based on the most cost-effective technology. Ingot, a subsidiary, specializes in the development of RFID products and telematics solutions, and another subsidiary, Atriam, focuses on inventory and asset management strategies. The company has offices in the US, Germany and Australia.

Datamars: This Swiss company offers RFID systems for tracking pets, textiles and waste.

DTE Automation GmbH: Based in Herford, Germany, DTE makes industrial readers and handheld computers for RFID systems.

ExypnoTech: This German subsidiary of NanoPierce Technologies of the U.S. is a supplier and manufacturer of RFID components (inlays, readers) as well as a provider of software solutions for system integrators.

Gantner Electronic GmbH: An Austrian microelectronics company that makes RFID system components for automotive manufacturing and logistics.

Hermos Informatik GmbH: This German company offers specialized RFID technology for industrial applications, particularly semiconductor fabrication. The company was purchased in July 2002 by Brooks-PRI Automation, Inc.

Hi-G-Tek Ltd.: An Israeli company that makes product seals that use RFID to prevent tampering. It also offers RFID security and asset tracking systems.

HR Electronic GmbH: A German maker of RFID systems for industrial use.

Industrial Auto ID Ltd: A British maker of RFID technology for asset tracking and cattle identification.

Lyngsoe Systems: This privately-owned, Danish systems integrator and software manufacturer, founded in 1970, offers a range of software, hardware and services for monitoring and automating processes in complex logistics chains. RFID-based solutions account for about 40 percent of annual turnover. Its product line includes automated sorter control systems, asset and material management solutions, product traceability systems, supply chain performance systems, technical administration and maintenance systems and task planning systems—all capable of handling RFID equipment and tags. The company's main markets are postal services, airports supply chain and public and private home care providers. Lyngsoe Systems has offices in the United States, Canada and Denmark covering RFID, sales, project and service.

Innovision Research & Technology: UK-based IRT provides engineering and consulting services to help companies develop new products using the latest technologies, including high-volume and ultra-low-cost RFID applications. It can deliver manufacturable, custom solutions within realistic timeframes. It has a U.S. sales office in Plano, Texas.

ODIN Technologies: Reston, Va.-based ODIN Technologies provides RFID software and integration services. Its services include: secure supply-chain extranet implementation and management; business process engineering and full needs assessment; system design and architecture; system selection and RFQ/RFP; end-to-end systems integration; full Wal-Mart compliance and post post-implementation maintenance. The company's staff includes two former security CEOs and engineers from MIT, The Naval Academy, The University of Virginia, Cal-Berkeley, University College Cork and The University of Maryland, and it has as a consultant one of the founders of the EPC protocol.

Pepperl + Fuchs Inc.: A German provider of RFID tags for manufacturing.

SAMSys Technologies: This Canadian company provides RFID hardware solutions and RFID integration consulting services. SAMSys offers a selection of readers spanning low frequency, high frequency and UHF, supporting a broad range of protocols. The consulting service focuses on the front-end of the RFID implementation process.

Siemens Dematic, Material Handling Automation: This German company offers material handling automation, information processing and RFID integration solutions throughout the supply chain. The company takes a consultative approach toward designing and implementing customized, automated material handling solutions for manufacturing as well as distribution and warehousing applications. It's product line including conveyors, tilt tray and crossbelt sorters, trailer loading systems, automatic guided vehicle systems, automated storage/retrieval systems, automated electrified monorail systems and the software and controls to support them.

STID: Based in Fontenay Aux Roses, France, this company makes a complete line of tags and readers for industrial use and access control.

Stockway: Based in Espoo, Finland, Stockway serves the Finnish market and is Escort Memory Systems’ master distributor for the country. The company’s main areas of focus are retail, brand protection, manufacturing, supply chain and after sales solutions.
