RFID Journal Webinars (Web-based seminars) are presented by knowledgeable RFID subject-matter experts and thought leaders, who bring you up to date with a wide variety of RFID technological and business issues. These programs offer you a convenient way to ask questions of and discuss the subject
matter with the presenters, or to listen to questions asked by other
attendees. These live, interactive events are free, but online seating is
limited, so register early.

Fighting Counterfeiting With "Unclonable" RFID Chips
|
Date: Sept. 17, 2008
Time: 2:00-3:00 PM |
 |

Presenter:
Vivek Khandelwal Director of Marketing, Verayo, Inc.
Host:
Mark Roberti Editor and Founder, RFID Journal
Counterfeiting is a huge concern, its economic impact estimated at more than $600 billion per year. This problem spans almost all geographies and industries, from luxury products, food, pharmaceuticals, auto and airline parts, currency, IDs and documents to the computer, electronics and networking industries.
The threat this poses to public health, safety and security is great, but RFID has been gaining momentum as an anti-counterfeiting technology. The "RF" makes the use of such technology more practical and efficient, while the "ID" enables the unique identification of individual items.
Now, RFID is moving beyond identification, to authentication. To that end, Verayo has introduced what it calls "the world's first-ever 'unclonable' RFID chip." In this webinar, the company will provide an overview of the breakthrough silicon biometrics technology behind its "unclonable" RFID chip, and the strong, robust RFID authentication scheme this technology provides for anti-counterfeiting and security applications.
This webinar will prove particularly useful for those interested in learning about innovations involving radio frequency identification, anti-counterfeiting and security technologies. No technical background in semiconductors, RFID or security is required.
For more information regarding Verayo's "unclonable" RFID chip technology, visit the company's Web site at www.verayo.com.
