Cost of complying with maritime security mandates introduced by the United States: $8 Billion

Cost of security measures for the United States railroad industry: $1.7 Billion

Cost of securing commercial aircraft: $4.8 Billion

Estimated cost to the global economy if a weapon of mass destruction hidden in a container explodes: $1 Trillion
